2023 Medal of Achievement

Megan Hogan ’06

Global Head of Talent

and Chief Diversity Officer

Goldman Sachs

Megan Hogan ’06 is global head of talent, chief diversity officer, and head of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team at Goldman Sachs. In this role, she is responsible for driving the firm’s development, retention, and growth strategies; strengthening the leadership pipeline; and ensuring the firm’s workforce reflects the diversity of its clients and communities.

She also serves as a member of Goldman’s Human Capital Management Global Leadership Group and the steering committee of its One Million Black Women initiative, which partners with Black women–led organizations and other partners to make key investments aimed at narrowing opportunity gaps and positively impacting the lives of at least one million Black women. She previously was head of diversity recruiting. She joined Goldman Sachs in 2014 as a vice president on the Diversity and Inclusion team and was named managing director in 2019.

Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Hogan worked as a litigation associate at Willkie Farr & Gallagher, covering white collar, insurance, and complex commercial cases and trials. During that period, she dedicated significant time to pro bono cases, primarily representing immigrants seeking asylum. During an externship, she spent six months working for MFY Legal Services, where she provided legal assistance to low-income New Yorkers to resolve their housing and foreclosure issues.

Hogan serves as a member of the advisory board for the Center on Race, Law & Justice at Fordham University School of Law and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund’s New York Advisory Council.

Hogan earned a bachelor’s degree in African American Studies and Psychology from Yale University in 2003 and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 2006. She is a proud native New Yorker, wife to Curtis Hogan, and mom of two boys, Jackson and Miles.

Milton Fisher ’42

Second Harvest

Award Recipient

Constantine N. Katsoris gabelli ’53 law ’57

Wilkinson Professor of Law, Fordham Law School

Professor Constantine “Gus” N. Katsoris, FCRH ’53, LAW ’57, is the Ignatius M. Wilkinson Professor of Law at Fordham University School of Law. Katsoris is the longest-serving faculty member at Fordham Law, having joined the faculty in 1964. He has also served as a director of the Fordham Law Alumni Association since 1972.

A nationally recognized scholar of tax law, securities law, and trusts and estates, Professor Katsoris’ research and teaching has had an outsized influence in his field and burnished Fordham Law’s reputation in these areas. His advocacy for a uniform code of arbitration in securities litigation paved the way for the U.S. Supreme Court’s landmark ruling in Shearson/American Express, Inc. v. McMahon (1987), which permitted the practice pursuant to agreements made before the dispute and helped to reshape the securities industry. In 1977, he was appointed as one of the first three public members of the Securities Industry Conference on Arbitration (SICA), a post in which he would serve until 1997. He was reappointed to serve as public member and chair from 2004 to 2012 and continues to serve as a public member emeritus. He has also served as both an arbitrator and an arbitration trainer with the New York Stock Exchange and the National Association of Securities Dealers and has consulted for the New York Commission on Estates.

At Fordham Law, Professor Katsoris partnered with the late Professor Donald Sharpe to help develop the tax curriculum from a single course to today’s robust offerings. He has taught Federal Taxation, Estate Planning, Wills, and Accounting for Lawyers to more than 15,000 day and evening students over 59 years. For over 30 years, Professor Katsoris led the Law School’s annual Supreme Court Bar induction ceremonies, which have in total admitted more than 1,000 of the Law School’s alumni and faculty to practice before the nation’s highest court. He has written two articles on the history of the Law School that were published in the Fordham Law Review, one praising the legacy of the over 650 alumni who served as members of the judiciary, the other on the Law School’s longstanding commitment to public service.

Among Professor Katsoris’ numerous awards are the Fordham Law Alumni Association’s Alumni Medal of Achievement (1995), Fordham University’s Bene Merenti Medals (1985 and 2004), the Dean’s Medal of Achievement (1999), the Students’ Medal of Achievement (1992), the Public Interest Resource Center’s Award (1993), the Urban Law Journal’s Louis J. Lefkowitz Award (2003), the George J. Mitchell Lifetime Public Service Award (2014), the Gov. Malcolm Wilson Distinguished Alumnus Award (2015), and the Fordham Law Review Leonard F. Manning Achievement Award (2017). He also served on the Board of Advisors of the Feerick Center for Social Justice.

Before joining the Fordham Law faculty, Professor Katsoris practiced law at Cahill, Gordon, Reindel & Ohl and volunteered for the Legal Aid Society. He also has provided extensive public and pro bono service in civil and criminal matters over the course of his career.

Professor Katsoris received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Fordham University’s College of Business Administration (now the Gabelli School of Business) in 1953, then earned his J.D. from the School of Law in 1957, where he graduated first in his class and received the Chapin Prize for attaining the highest weighted average. He also received an LL.M. in Corporate Finance from New York University School of Law in 1963.
